Hey my fashionistas! Today my mini blog is a little bit different, as I am talking about actor and model Brooke Shields’ modelling career, and also a bit about her acting career. Hope you all enjoy :)
Born: 31 May 1965 Manhattan, New York, United States.
Early modelling career
Brooke’s first modelling job was as the Ivory Snow Baby and by age 3 she was already on the runway!
Modelling
Brooke Shields began her modelling career at just age 11 months old in 1966! She quickly became the most recognisable faces of the 1980s and at 14 she was on the cover of vogue. In 1980, 15-year-old Brooke Shields starred in controversial and extremely sexualized adverts and print ads for Calvin Klein jeans, and famously stated “you want to know what comes between me and my Calvin’s? Nothing”. In 1981 she was on magazines covers globally. And at her biggest height of her modelling and acting career, Brooke attended Princeton University graduating with a degree in French literature.
Acting
Brooke Shields began her acting career as a child, and at age 12 she was in a controversial film “Pretty Baby” in 1978. With many other movies such as “The Blue Lagoon” in 1980, “Endless Love” in 1981, the TV series “Suddenly Susan” (1996-2000) earned Brooke 2 golden globes nomination. In 1996 Brooke appeared as a special guest in “friends” in Joeys unhinged stalker.
Present day
Brooke Shields still does some acting and modelling. She continues her career for lifestyle and wellness brand, acts in Netflix films and is President on the Actors Equity Association.
