Our Blogs, Writings & Reviews

Hey everyone, this is a very exciting post.... because.... it's our 200th blog!! This marks a big milestone as a site. We now have 200 blogs, reviews, debriefs, poems etc on this very website and I, along with everyone, couldn't be prouder. We want to use the rest of this week to celebrate us and this milestone. 200 blogs doesn't just mean 200 blogs it means so much more; we're still here after these 200 blogs, wanting to do another 200 by looking to the future, all the work

JC Aqueen jcaqueen.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Welcome back to my blog that is all about Drag Race UK Season 8. I am shook to say that we are just over halfway in the competition as it feels like only yesterday I was writing my "Meet the Queens" blog. Before I begin, make sure you are up to date with the blogs and episodes as there will be spoilers and there may be slight swearing throughout this blog. We are in the Werk Room after Anita's elimination. There is not too much

Caitlyn Woodbury caitlyn.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Is there really an over diagnosis of ADHD/ Autism? Over the news in recent months, many people have been asking the question of whether there may be an over diagnosis of neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD and autism. Now, I’d like to preface this with the disclaimer that I am not an expert or a researcher in this field. I am just a second year university student that understands the diagnostic process. So why do people

Caitlyn Woodbury caitlyn.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Black Comic Creators Happy Black History Month everyone! Just in case any American’s are reading this, yes, I know it is not YOUR Black History Month, but it is in the UK! And of course, this month should be used to take the time to think about the amazing contributions black people have made to our country, but obviously our comics as well. Unfortunately, this was a bit more of a difficult blog to write, as black comic cre

Jc Aqueen jcaqueen.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Welcome back to my review of episode six of Drag Race UK. Before we get into it, I want to say I am still not over Paris' elimination and it is ever worse as this week is the girl groups! Quick disclaimer as usual that there may be swearing in this blog and make sure to watch the previous episodes and read my last blogs to get the full picture. We are back in the Werk Room after Paris went home. The main feeling is that they will

Jc Aqueen jcaqueen.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Before reading, please note that this was written between episode 2 and 3 of Season 8 of Drag Race UK. Over the last week, Drag Race UK fans have had some good and bad news. Bad being that the BBC is going to stop suporting Drag Race UK after the current season (I will be avoiding this until we are told more). And good being that there will be a UK All Star Season. For those who may not know, an all star season is a second chance

Gabrielle Hammond gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Hey all. Today's blog by moi is all about my reading journey and my love of books. I have always loved reading from a young age. In primary school and early high school, I read loads. Especially those amazing Fairy books (if you know you know). I also got into murder mystery books at this age too with Murder Most Unladylike (an amazing series for pre-teens). I used to love writing books too and my original piece of "The One Blood"

Caitlyn Woodbury caitlyn.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Why the Cornell Case is so important: In the middle of September, an anonymous student filed a lawsuit against the American University Cornell for its handling of her sexual assault case. For those unaware, the student known as “Jane Doe” was allegedly drugged and gang-raped by seven students. Two of those students got expelled and the others had to write an essay or undergo sexual harassment training. It’s been almost a mo

Jake Turner jake.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Hello Gamers! Yes it’s me again giving you your (probably not needed) insight in the gaming world! Today we are going to be delving into one of my greatest expertise; “Minecraft YouTubers”. The first youtuber I will be talking about is one of the most well-known Minecraft YouTubers ever; Dantdm. Known for his vibrant blue hair and sour gummy video (ifykyk) Dantdm took YouTube by storm with his Minecraft videos. Now going back to pr

Jc Aqueen jcaqueen.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Welcome back to my review of episode 5 of Drag Race UK. I am very excited, as there is a lot of drama (that we have seen in the previews). So, like always, make sure you have watched previous episodes and read previous blogs by me. There may be slight swearing throughout this blog and some slight nudity. And with that, let's get into it. We are back in the Werk Room after Delta's elimination, nothing major happens and it is skipa

Gabrielle Hammond gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com What an eventful race we had last weekend. The practices and qualy's felt as if the main race would be uneventful but how we were wrong... Up at 8am. Ready for race. Locked in. It's the Bahrain GP in Malaysia. Race is delayed. And it’s not looking like anytime soon we will have a race. The rain is too much and it is too dangerous. BORING! Only joking of course... With Max Verstappen on pole for the first time this year, can he sec

Jc Aqueen jcaqueen.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com It's that time of week where we recap Drag Race UK and we are already on episode 4 (I can't believe it), but, before we death drop into it, I have to say there may be slight swearing throughout this blog. Let's go! We are back in the werk room after Tequila's elimination. The main feeling is that it was Tequila's time and I feel the same way; she was in the bottom two weeks in a row. WEEK 4 MAXI CHALLENGE - Rusical So this week's

Gabrielle Hammond gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Hello theatre gang, Today I won't be talking about a particular musical or theatre show per se, but instead a discussion of accessibility finance wise within the theatre world, and the pros and cons of bootlegs. Theatre should be for everyone who wants to enjoy it and experience it. But in a world of everything getting more expensive by the minute it seems, is this actually true anymore? Going to a theatre show in the West End IS

Caitlyn Woodbury caitlyn.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Have I wasted my teens? At the time I am writing this, I am a few days away from turning 20 and officially no longer a teenager. And this week has been a lot of introspection of whether I have wasted my teen years (hence the title), but, I don’t think it is as simple as yes or no. When I turned 13, my idea of being a teenage girl was from what I saw on TV. In my mind, being a teenage girl meant going to loads of house parti

Gabrielle Hammond gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Hey everyone. It's Gabs again and today I shall be discussing something very different to my usual types of blogs. Today is going to be all about Disney Pin collecting. Now I know what some may be saying. Disney adults! But, what's the harm? Obviously I don't mean these Disney adults that are OBSESSED or sabotage a child for their own joy, but ones that enjoy collecting Disney items and visiting parks are the ones that I don't thi

JC Aqueen Welcome back to my mini-series of blogs for Drag Race Uk Series 8. We are back with the 3rd episode, and this week is Snatch Game, but before we get into it, make sure to read my previous blog and watch the episode beforehand, as there will be spoilers. Also, there may be some swearing throughout the blog. So, we are back in the werk room after Ma Danni's elimination. Not too much is said, but a keep point is that Naya thought that Taquila should have gone home inst

Caitlyn Woodbury caitlyn.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Batman Day Hello comic book fans! I know this isn’t a Wednesday, but I promise I have a good reason for this, as today is Batman Day! Well, what does this actually mean? If you’re thinking that, is it based on the anniversary of Batman’s first appearance…you’d be wrong my friend. Whilst that would make sense, comics never are, and Batman actually debuted on March 30th, 1939. The first Batman Day took place in 2014 to celebr

Alexandra Oliver alex.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Merry meet! Today I want to talk to you about Mabon. Mabon is a modern neopagan and Wiccan holiday that marks the Autumn Equinox, usually falling around September 21–24. It is one of the eight Wiccan sabbats celebrated during the year. This year, it is celebrated on Weds 23rd September and is all about the second harvest, and taking pause to give thanks for what you've grown and gathered through the year. It's a perfect time f

JC Aqueen It's that time again where we sit and watch another episofe of Drag Race. Before I begin, make sure you are up to date with my blogs and the season itsself to get the full picture. There is some drama unfolding as Mocha said they are shocked they they didn't lipsync for the win, Naya then says that Mocha cou

Jude Woods jude.gabsbitesizeblogs@gmail.com Hello there and welcome back to another of my blogs this one I’m doing it on The Hobbit. The Hobbit books first came out in September of 1937 by the classic J.R.R Tolkien. The story focuses on an adventure about a Hobbit, Bilbo, helping Dwarfs take back their home land called Erabor. The dwarf's mountain Erabor was full of treasure, jewels and more and has been mined for years and years until one day a dragon came from the North, Sm
