Hey my fashionistas, welcome back to another Fashion Friday and today I am talking about the trending Chloè Paddington and The Balenciaga City Bag - I hope you enjoy :)

The Chloè Paddington

It’s influence:

One of the most iconic it-bags was was launched in 2005 by Phoebe Philo in the spring/summer show and instantly sold out and became an it-piece in 2000s fashion.

About the bag:

The bag has its signature look which is a slouchy heavy distressed leather with a matching leather wrapped padlock. You can get it in a variety of different colours such as brown, black, white and pink (my favourite!).

Comback:

Recently the Chloè Paddington has made a comeback into fashion after it was reintroduced in 2025 in a Chloè show.

The Balenciaga City Bag:

Now fashionistas I have seen the Chloè Paddington bag on TikTok a lot but I see this bag all the time all over my For You Page.

2001 is where the bags journey started after being designed for only a limited prototype. Designed by Nicolas Ghesquière and was originally rejected for a particular design for being "soft light weight which lacked structural form", but, still managed to get 25 small batches made and accidentally became an it-bag with people like Kate Moss wearing it. You can get this in many different colours from vibrant to neutral it really does suit every colour.

Modern times:

The design recently has been seen on celebrities such as Kaia Gerber, Tate McRae and Bella Hadid. And has been going viral on social media.
