2 girls 1 wasp
So, wait for it. This is actually a review of our brunch we had today but going by the title I'm sure you've guessed it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Now don't get me wrong, the food was delish but I would like to take you on the journey of two best friends and a typical saturday brunch.
It started as an idea to go to town and have a bit of lunch, nothing special just a good old catch up (even though we see each other at least once a week and chat all day, every day).
So, I was meeting a fellow blogger and absolute scatter brain, my best friend Alex! Yes, I asked her to write this but I'm the funny one.
We had a casual stroll through the town centre catching up on our week - what's been happening, usual girly gossip! Then with the rumbling of her belly and the "oh I could eat now actually" from me, we decided to go for food. It's our favorite pastime so why not! After all, this was the actual reason we had met up!
So, we headed to Honey and Harvey; prices looked okay and we decided to sit outside. Alex was reading the posh fancy names for like egg on toast with some veg thing on the side - apparently if you write smashed before the name the price doubles!
I decided to go for the smashed avocado and eggs on special hard bread type thingy and Alex had the vegetarian breakfast (even though she added bacon to it, so it wasn't actually vegetarian anymore).
We sat chatting and having a laugh as you do, and then the brunch comes out - Omg it was beautiful, like proper art work and tasted great! I got overly excited that I asked for tomato sauce and it was Stokes brand! Result!
But then, and now this is where the excitement started! Mr massive butt wasp decided he wanted to have my avocado! Like please, I spent £16 on that, and also, I don't share!!
With a flick of a napkin, me and Alex are screaming as though it was a swarm coming for us, and the little sod just wouldn't budge! So we run inside like screaming teenagers and find a table to finish eating. We finished our food and headed off for another walk.
Eventually we headed home and after all the commotion, I asked Alex where her bag was? She replied, I've got it? And I said no, the other one! So not only did this wasp make us do an unnecessary fitness routine in front of a cafe full of customers, it also made us unaware of anything even relevant in life!
So, can you guess what happened next!?
Back to Honey and Harvey we go! Luckily, a member of staff had spotted the bag and kept it safe for her.
Moral of the story is... well, there isn't one because even if there was, a wasp would just mess it up!
