I recently went on holiday to Vauxhall Holiday Park (Parkdean Resorts) with my family for four nights. In this review, I shall be covering most aspects of the holiday and my opinion of them!
Cleanliness and Hospitality:
Overall, there was six people on our holiday in a six-birth caravan (meaning it can sleep six). When we arrived, we were pleased to see the caravan in a tidy manner with no visible marks of uncleanliness. This was a great start. As we unpacked, we decided to allocate beds. As this is a six-birth caravan, we suspected the sofa was able to turn into some sort of bed as it was supplied with duvets and pillows. As we searched to do so, there was no applicable method to do this. In the end, two people had to sleep on the tough sofas. This wasn't pleasant but we didn't let that ruin our holiday. Overall, I would score this section four out of five stars.
Entertainment:
Every night you had access to an entertainment venue; this entertainment would consist of multiple acts from a disco to a live show! At the start of the evening there would be acts aimed towards children with the parkdean trademarked mascots “The Starland Krew”. My siblings enjoyed these mascots and their entertainment acts and they were constantly amused. As the evening progressed, it would aim to reach more towards a mature audience while staying family friendly. Hosting and featuring in these acts are the “Troupers”. These troupers would put on a different live cabaret show including multiple subjects and genres. All these shows were spectacular and truly showcased immaculate talent. Personally, I loved the entertainment of this park and would totally recommend people including this in their package if they were to book!
Food:
In this park you can access five food outlets created by Parkdean Resorts. These include Joe’s American Diner, Pizza Box, SCOOPS, Thunderbird Chicken, and The Fish and Chippery. I tried four of these places excluding the Chippery and all of which were great quality with fantastic flavours. My personal favourite was Thunderbird Chicken; the chicken had a crisp golden layer with a juicy, moist taste and was insanely delicious. I would highly recommend these food outlets to the people visiting this park.
Cost:
Overall, this holiday cost £269. This includes a blue light discount; with this it shows that it cost £11.20pppd (Per person Per day). In regards for the quality of this holiday, this is brilliant! If you are buying food there it can become quite pricey depending on the number of people with you. This is expected though as the quality of the food is certainly provided for your money. There is also a massive number of activities you can pay for. We decided not to do these and take advantage of our own activities that we could provide for ourselves.
Conclusion:
Overall, I rate this park four and a half stars, it is a great park, and many great memories were made on this excursion. I would recommend this park to other people due to the fantastic time we had as a family. I would also like to add that this blog is my first one back after the break so hello! Thank you for reading this blog and supporting this great organisation!
Thanks for reading and see you in the next one!
