Time

Time heals all, at least that's what people say,

When time moves slowly, I take it day by day.

I need time to speed up and make things all ok,

But time stays the same, ever constant, ticking, ticking away.

Time plays tricks on your mind, it seems to go so fast,

Yet when you need it to hurry up, it seems to last and last.

I need time to fly by, to change the way you feel,

But time stays the same, never fast, spinning on a wheel.

Time has gone by, fleeting moments, lingering stares,

Love has found its path again, not that time cares.

I need time to stand still, to reclaim the months we lost,

But time stays the same, with no care for the cost.

Time and time again, we all waste precious time,

No longer will I allow it to take what is mine,

I need time to recover, so go fast or go slow,

But if you could, just allow us, a moment to grow?
