Hello there and welcome back to another of my blogs this one I’m doing it on The Hobbit.

The Hobbit books first came out in September of 1937 by the classic J.R.R Tolkien. The story focuses on an adventure about a Hobbit, Bilbo, helping Dwarfs take back their home land called Erabor. The dwarf's mountain Erabor was full of treasure, jewels and more and has been mined for years and years until one day a dragon came from the North, Smaug. After Smaug took their homeland the Dwarfs had to disband and go their separate ways but eventually these group of dwarfs wanted to take it back again with the help of the mysterious and magnificent Gandalf and the Hobbit- Bilbo Baggins. There are thirteen dwarfs in total and were named by Tolkein; Thorin (the leader), Balin, Dwalin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Oin, Gloin, Dori, Ori & Nori. Throughout their adventure they were chased by Orcs and Goblins and lots of different difficult situations which make it an exciting watch and a classic fantasy tale. In the end they make it to Erabor and Bilbo Baggins is tasked to steal the Arconstone in the heart of the mountain. Smaug the dragon wakes up in the midst of it all and I won't give any spoilers but then again I am sure if you are interested in reading this you have read or watched The Hobbit before.

I watched The Hobbit films after Lord of the Rings due to when they came out. They managed to split one book into three separate films which just shows how much Tolkein packed into the book and so much adventure.

The Hobbit is definitely a classic, there is no denying that and has had and will have a lasting impact on literature for generations to come.
