Travel Tuesday: Malaga

Hey all. Travel time is here once more. Today I will be carrying on my adventure from the cruise and talking more in depth about the port of Malaga and what we got up to. Come join me in my travels...

We stopped here on our third stop. The last two ports (La Coruna and Cadiz) we just walked aimlessly around, just soaking up the surroundings and finding little shops, but in Malaga we decided to do something touristy. We made our way over from the Cruise terminal to the Picasso Museum.

The walk was long though! Well I don't think it was that long but the heat made it seem that way. It was really pretty though. The streets are quirky, windows quaint and shops well... they're the usual touristy "toot" (as we call them) shops but somehow you always want to go in them even though you've already been in ten of the exact same thing.

We finally reached the museum which felt like an age lol, and waited in a short queue to be greeted into the museum. The line for pre bought tickets was actually longer than the one we were in (non tickets). So that was lucky. When we got into the museum the first thing we saw was art not by Picasso - which we found funny but realised there were many rooms beyond the first that had most of his art work in and told the story of his life.

The three girls (me, Lil and Floss) aren't to be trusted with each other as we found great amusement in some of the paintings looking apparently like me. I was Picasso's muse guys, you heard it here first!

I am not a massive follower of art but it was still interesting to see all his masses of artwork and his life. Although some paintings I believe we could do lol. However, others were mesmerising and carry lots of meaning when you look into it.

After the museum, we strolled along some more and saw ruins of an ancient theatre. It was so cool and really easy to see the seats and auditorium/stage. There were some more ruins up loads and loads and loads of steps but we thought nope and decided to wander back to the ship admiring the sights as we went along.

The beaches are beautiful here also but we didn't have time nor want to get too sunburnt so we didn’t relish this up. Thank goodness!

Instead, we headed back on the boat and I had a yummy sundae.
